Urban Resilience Project

In this “Interim Report”, we further expand on our previous studies by;

• Analyzing meteorological factors affecting weather and climate in Dhaka City;


• Evaluating the pros and cons of the waste management strategy currently being implemented,


• Discussing the main factors affecting river and canal degradation;


• Developing a unique approach to the problem of flooding on the basis of a fieldwork study and an HEC-RAS analysis;


• And providing some alternatives and policy recommendations to accurately solve the previously mentioned environmental problems facing Dhaka City today.

While the Revised Inception Report was mainly based on a literature review, this time, thoughts, comments and suggestions of stakeholders that we already met have also been taken into consideration and benefited from, while preparing Interim Report.
