A Two day-long (June 01-02) International Seminar on Urban Earthquake Resilience was jointly organized by the Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK), the Ministry of Housing and Public Works at the renowned International hotel in Dhaka. Honourable Minister, Ministry of Housing and Public Works was present as The Chief Guest.

Under the presidency of Major General Md Siddiqur Rahman Sarker (Retd.), Chairman, RAJUK, Private Industry and Investment Adviser to the Hon'ble Prime Minister was present as The Guest of Honor and Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Public Works was present as The special guest also shared their view on Earthquake preparedness and present situation of Bangladesh.

With the aim of strengthening the Resilient Communities in Bangladesh, the initiatives have been undertaken by Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) as part of the visionary plan to build a modern “Safe and Resilient City” which will be actively monitored by Urban Resilience Unit that work efficiently to address the risk of emergency events Earthquake, Fire Hazards, Building Collapse.

In the event chief officers of various public and private organizations including focal point in Bangladesh, professors of reputed universities, national and international officials, eminent persons, journalists of electronic and print media were present on that day.
