Urban Resilience Project

The main aim of present report is boreholes location determination as for the “Development of Risk Sensitive Land Use Planning” project in DMDP. Exploration boreholes are very expensive, however they provide valuable information. Hence determining boreholes locations in a scientific and logical approach can helps to model more accurate in area under study. The important point in boreholes locations determination is considering the previous drilled boreholes and related reports. Previous boreholes have valuable information about, material, velocity and other geological parameters. In addition several information layers such as seismicity, bearing capacity, geology and liquefaction have been applied. The mentioned layers have been selected for determining homogeneous zones. Also they have been combined together in logical approach.
